halloween happiness

We survived the Halloween extravaganza without too much drama.  Now if we can just avoid sugar comas this week!

Here are a few photos of our fun weekend:

Well, this is actually Thursday at J's preschool party.
The costume didn't last long - too hot!

At the church fall festival:  Who's that monster in the middle?!  He turned quite a few heads (including mine!).  C kept calling him an alien - she's never seen a Shrek movie.

Pinkalicious and the Dragon, looking perplexed (this is just after they've both been eliminated from the pumpkin pass game):

Ring-tossing:

Pumpking bowling:

Donut-eating:

Trunk-or-Treating (notice Pinkalicious no longer has wings - they didn't even last 2 hours before they were broken - next time I guess I'll have to spring for something more than posterboard!):

And the main event - Halloween Night!

We decided to go trick-or-treating with friends in a beautiful older neighborhood with sidewalks (our neighborhood has no sidewalks and very little light - it's DARK for small ones).  Some of the homes were very festive.  Here are a few favorite pumpkins:

C kept saying, "I'm very happy!" all night. Until she got tired and her feet hurt. Maybe next year she'll listen to me when I tell her she should wear sneakers for walking (probably not)!
